Jacqueline Rocha at the Town of Davie welcome sign

Jacqueline “Jackie” Rocha

Thank you, Davie.

To every person who knocked on a door, shared a post, showed up, and believed in this campaign, thank you from the bottom of my heart. We built a real grassroots movement powered by people, not old money, and together we flipped a seat in Davie. That is a win worth celebrating.

This is not the end. I am still here, still fighting for our community, and I would love to stay connected. Reach out anytime.

Davie is in the midst of an identity crisis.
How do we fix this?

The Movement

This campaign goes much further than a simple platform or campaign promises.

My main goals on the ground are inspiring, re-engaging, and empowering Davie residents and voters.

My top priority in my bid for mayor is restoring a voice for the residents.

Now, let’s break down the issues →

8 Priorities for Davie

Where I Stand

Transparency

Residents have attended council meetings and given public comment on developments. The council approved the projects anyway. That’s not representation. As mayor, I will increase communication to our residents and put forth a written response from the town before any vote.

Integrity

Term Limits. Protecting our elected seats for the future of Davie is vital, as we’ve seen what it’s led to without these protections. As your mayor, I will swiftly propose an amendment to our charter to include term limits for both the seat of mayor and our district council.

Housing Affordability

What’s being built in Davie isn’t for the people who live here. The working class, teachers, nurses, and students, can’t afford what’s going up. We cannot continue to allow our generational Davie families and farmers to be pushed out of their homes. As your mayor, I will tie CRA incentives to verified workforce housing commitments. Not promises. Requirements.

Preservation

We’ve been told time and time again that the loss of our green spaces is outside of the control of the town, yet the public records show otherwise. As mayor, I will work to provide more protections and support for our open land, our quiet communities, our equestrian trails, and increase our park count, to keep us from becoming like every other city in South Florida and keep Davie, Davie.
